You are viewing a highly sought after 1996 Porsche 993 GT2 Race Car currently listed for sale by supercar dealer Joe Macari Performance Cars located in London. Not only is the car in practically new condition, but it comes with an excellent history making it a very desirable among serious Porsche collectors.
The car, also known as #393107 was sold by the Porsche Factory Customer Sport Department to Jean Francois Veroux of Paris in January 1996. He entered it twice before eventually selling it to Peter Seikel. During his ownership this 993 GT2 was raced at Monza, Paul Ricard (4 Hours: 3rd OA, 2nd GT2), Misano (6 Hours 1st OA) and Hockenheim, before being sold to Porsche Club Italy in July of 1998. After this time the car competed in the GT and FIA GTR Championships in Hungary, Spa, Suzuka, Donnington, Homestead, Laguna Seca, Daytona and finally Monza, a track it enjoyed the most as it achieved 3 wins.
The car has been in private collections since it retired in 2001 and in 2015 its owner put the car through a number of mechanical and cosmetic restorations to bring it back to new and race ready condition. Between June 2016 and September 2017 more than €75,000 was spent on the car and it’s currently considered to be in immaculate condition. No asking price has been provided at this time.
