About 3 years have passes since the Mercedes-AMG GT R was unveiled at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, today we get a look at the Roadster version and it’s as impressive as one would think. The new Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster will be available in a limited production run of just 750 units. In total, there are 16 variants of the AMG GT, five two-door coupes, four roadsters, two race cars and five four-door coupes.
The Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 bi-turbocharged engine that produces 585hp and sprints 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 317 km/h. An exciting new feature on this sports car is the ‘AMG Dynamics’ settings for the stability control functions with Basic, Advanced, Pro and Master settings.
For those uncomfortable with rag tops convertibles, the 3-layer fabric soft top gets acoustic matting to reduce noise which will make potential buyers more willing to buy a rag top. There are 14 color choices available along with an AMG carbon fibre package that adds carbon fibre elements to various exterior elements. The AMG Interior Night Package also comes as standard option in the Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster.
