McLaren’s Ultimate Series has just revealed its latest hypercar, the three-seater McLaren Speedtail. This highly anticipated hypercar has an interior cockpit similar to the McLaren F1, arguably the greatest hypercar of all time, until now. Only 106 examples of the McLaren Speedtail will be built, that will match the production run of the McLaren F1. Interestingly enough, McLaren actually had a hard time selling the full production line of the F1, but according to the company, all slots for the Speedtail are reserved with a minimum cost of £1.75 million plus taxes.
In a press release, McLaren confirmed a top speed of at least 403 km/h (250 mph) and a 0 to 300 km/h of just 12.8 seconds. Details on the powerful 1,050 PS engine have not been released yet, but sources are saying the car will utilize a hybrid drive train. Weight seems to be a huge focus on this new hypercar as McLaren plans to use a variety of different types of carbon fibre to keep the McLaren Speedtail as light as possible. The car comes in at 1,430 kg dry weight which is very close to the Koenisegg Agera RS and Bugatti Chiron.
