Tuning company Manhart has just released full details and photos about its aftermarket package tailored to the revived BMW 8 Series coupe. Based on the M850i M Performance model, the tuning kit includes 21-inch matte black alloy wheels with a six double-spoke design. The high-performance coupe was also lowered approximately 30 millimeters (1.18 inches) courtesy of an H&R set of springs lending the car a meaner stance and better aerodynamics.
Manhart also made some small but exciting changes to the exterior by applying a variety of carbon fiber accents noticeable at the front splitter as well as at the back for the diffuser and custom spoiler lip. The side mirror caps have also been fitted in carbon fiber, while gold body graphics further denote this isn’t a standard BMW 8-Series, while creating a nice blend with the black body and blue brake calipers. The interior is mostly the same except for the tuner’s badge and the package’s name featured on the center console.
The most impressive feature of the MH8 600 program is the twin turbo 4.4 liter V8 engine, which now delivers 621hp compared to 523hp found in the factory model. Manhart has not yet released any info on how fast the tuned M850i is, but it’s safe to say it will compete with the M8 Competition Coupe that goes 0-60 mph in 3 seconds with a top speed of 189 mph.
