The car currently has only 2,209 original miles and is listed for sale with Canepa, a company well known for handling historic racing car sales and restoration located in Scotts Valley, California.
This prized automobile left the Porsche factory on October 4th, 1988 and was originally sold to American businessman, George Gillett of Florida. In 2008 Mr. Gabel of Berlin, Germany, purchased the car with 1,430 miles. Gabel would eventually sell the car to Fawaz Al-Hasawi, a Kuwaiti businessman when the car had 2,141 miles. In 2015 Al-Hasawi sold it to the new owner John Collins, a Ferrari specialist.
Canepa would purchase the car in 2016 from Collins, and thats when it made its way back to the US after 28 years from its original purchase date. This is an original example of one of the best sports cars ever built.
